This Voice Mail Box is Full

Today my wife heard what we wish we wouldn't hear...

She tried to leave another voice mail for Brian (none of which he has bothered to returned) and got the dreaded message that his voice mail box was full.

I'm hoping that a ton of people have been finding this blog and trying to take action like we have been trying to do.

Keep it up everyone. Let's not get discouraged. Has anyone had the same issue? Anybody had any success lately? Feel free to comment...

NEW PHONE NUMBER FOR BRIAN!!

Someone just submitted a comment to one of the earlier posts that he knows Brian's phone number. Brian apparently contacted him (and his daughter-in-law).

switallyn - if you are reading this, either drop me an email - tracy.pawlak (at) gmail.com - or submit another comment to update us on how things went or if things just fell apart.

For everyone else, please check out the comment under the Status Update post from September 19th for the phone number.

I'll be trying it out tomorrow myself and will update with what happened. Feel free to give him a call and try your best to get your pictures/money/both back.

Post your updates using the comments feature and let us all know if you were successful or not!

Good luck!!

Status Update

I'm sure I've been keeping anyone who happens to read the blog in suspense about what the current status is regarding my wife and my situation with Brian. Unfortunately, due to a work situtation, I haven't been able to follow through the last week or so. I will have some time at the end of the week to completely focus on trying to get in touch with Brian.

You Live and You Learn

There is a lesson for my wife and me in all of this. It's a simple one that we will probably be very, very aware of...

Do your research.

In today's world, we have to take advantage of all of the information that is available on the internet. My guess is that if we spent a little extra time doing a couple more Google searches or asking a few more people about their experience with Scheer Photography, we maybe could have avoided this whole situation.

I can tell you, though, I am certainly fired up about this situation. I want to address Mr. Scheer and find out why he did what he did. I don't understand people who take advantage of others. It's a losing battle. I'm bound and determined to get what is rightly ours.

The funny thing is that I just really want our pictures. It's really very simple. I don't care about whether or not there are charges filed against Brian Scheer. I don't really want to sue him or anything like that - even if I were to win, I doubt that I would see any of the judgement. I just simple want the pictures and the album that we bought.

That's all.

There is some potentially good news that I'm finding out now. It seems like someone else who was ripped off by Scheer may have figured out a way to contact him and get some sort of resolution. I'm waiting to hear back from her if things are worked out. My fingers are crossed.

Fox 6 (Contact 6) Response

I had emailed Contact 6 earlier today regarding any potential updates they may have about Scheer Photography and Brian Scheer.

They emailed a response to me promptly. Unfortunately, they were not able to provide any other information other than what was contained in the story broadcast June 18th.

Fox 6 Consumer Alert

Back on June 18th, 2008, Fox 6 ran a story from Contact 6 about our buddy, Brian Scheer.

Brian Scheer - Contact 6 Report

Katrina Cravy encouraged everyone to contact the Wisconsin Consumer Protection office at 800-422-7128 to report your situation with Scheer.

She also mentioned that as of that date (June 18th), Brian Scheer had yet to be charged with any crimes even though there were over 20 complaints filed against his company.

I've sent an email to Contact 6 to see if there is any other information that they may have available.

I am planning on contacting the Washington County District Attorney's office to find out if there can be any action taken against Brian Scheer since the ceremony and reception took place there.
